Enjoying jam in the dead of winter

Brandie McAllister, Editor-in-Chief

Founded by NewSong and headlined by Skillet, Christian music’s largest annual tour is back again with 2012 Winter Jam.

The complete tour will include 47 cities, Tulsa and Oklahoma City among them.

Christian bands to make appearances are Sanctus Real, Peter Furler (former frontman of Newsboys), Building 429, Kari Jobe, for King & Country, We As Human, Group 1 Crew, with special guests Bob and Larry (the tomato and cucumber of VeggieTales).

Evangelistic speaker Nick Hall, a spokesperson for PULSE, the fastest growing young evangelistic movement in America, will bring the word of the Gospel to the event. Also in attendance will be illusionist Brock Gill, who uses death-defying stunts and amazing escapes to spread the word of God.

With no ticket required, the shows cost just $10 at the door.

On Saturday February 18, Winter Jam will be at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and the BOK Center in Tulsa on Saturday February 25.

The shows start at 6 p.m. sharp and seats are designated on a first-come, first-served basis.
